“In the name of God Amen I Thomas WHAPLES of Kirtling in county of Cambridge being weak in body but of pfect mind and memory thanks be to God doe make and ordaine this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following Imprimis I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my body to the earth to be decently buried and as to that small sume I am possessed of dispose of it to the Right Hon Lord NORTH and GREY £5 to Madam Katherine NORTH 20/- to buy her a pr of gloves to Barbary GLASBROCKE gent 20/- to Jn WILKINSON gent 20/- To Thomas REWSE 20/- To Isaac WARREN gent 20/- Item I appoint Walter PETTIT of Kirtling in county of Cambridge yeoman my sole executor giving unto him all the rest of my Goods and Chattels whatsoever paying all these my Legacyes within 3 moneths next after my decease.
In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale Dated the 6th and 20th day of September in the year of our Lord God 1679.”
