Kirtling and Upend, historic Cambridgeshire villages
Aspects of East Anglia

From the collection of award winning photographer Brian Whymark

We are delighted to be able to show examples on this site of the work of talented local photographer Brian Whymark. Brian and several generations of his family have lived in Upend. His father used to run the village shop, while his mother’s parents used to run the Kicking Dickie pub, later known as the Old North Arms.

Brian draws inspiration for his photographs from varied aspects of East Anglia and has received recognition on several occasions by awards for his work. You may have seen his photographs on the covers of magazines such as Suffolk Life over the years.

Brian has kindly agreed to let us showcase a range of his work on the website, and we will be adding a new selection from time to time. He does undertake work on commission on request. Please email the webmaster in the first instance.
