John Waddington designed the Kirtling and Upend website. He lived in Cambridgeshire for over 25 years before relocating to Exeter.
John started his career in designing information in 1984 during the exciting period of the Cambridge hi-tech phenomenon. He joined an innovative company called Baddeley Associates, simplifying computer user guides so that non-technical people could understand them.
In recent years he has been called on to advise organisations such as the Cabinet Office, International SOS, and the European Central Bank on how to simplify their websites so that they are more effective.
John now specialises in internet marketing, helping businesses and charities develop their profile on the web. He believes strongly in the opportunities that the internet gives to smaller organisations to do business on a level playing field with their larger competitors. One of the results is the Newmarket Web initiative, which is helping to put Newmarket businesses on the map.
